Polyurethanes belong to a group of polymer compounds that contain a ‘urethane’ link. Polyurethanes are highly versatile and can be formulated to have a wide range of properties. Polyurethane products have many uses, primarily as foams, both flexible and rigid, for insulation, mouldings, sound deadening, flotation, industrial coatings, packing material and upholstery padding. At Robnor we have successfully formulated polyurethanes for electrical and electronic encapsulation, cable jointing, sonar devices, moulding and prototyping resins.
